Terms and Conditions of Service for Riverside Rovers LLC


Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our dog walking services.

1. Acceptance of Terms: By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which govern Riverside Rover's relationship with you in relation to our dog walking and sitting services. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description: Riverside Rovers provides professional dog walking services, including 30 to 60 minute walks, pet sitting and boarding, and group walks. We do not provide professional training services at this time. 

3. Booking and Payments:

   a. Booking: Services must be booked in advance through our online booking platform or by contacting us directly.

   b. Payments: Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged. Recurring payments from users who authorize credit card filing will be charged weekly. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of electronic payment. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

   c. Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in a fee worth 50% of the canceled booking.  There will be no refunds whatsoever for buildings we cannot access, bookings where the dog is not at the booked address, and dogs who are too aggressive to retrieve and handle safely.  There will be a 100% refund if one of our walkers does not arrive for the booking except for any of the reasons above.  


4. Dog Requirements:

   a. Health: Dogs must be in good health and up-to-date on vaccinations.  Riverside Rovers reserves the right to refuse service to any dog showing signs of illness.

   b. Behavior: Dogs must be well-behaved and non-aggressive towards humans and other animals. Aggressive behavior may result in termination of services.  Dogs who are in group walks may also be moved to solo walks only. 

   c. Identification & Equipment: Dogs must wear proper identification tags at all times during our services. Dogs must also have properly fitting harnesses or collars as well as waste bags. 


5. Weather policy

  1. All walks that take place when the temperature is above 85 degrees Fahrenheit or below 20 degrees Fahrenheit are subject to being shortened at the discretion of the walker on duty.  

  2. All walks that take place during a thunderstorm are subject to shortening or postponement until the rain passes.  Walks that take place in heavy rain may be shortened at the walker’s discretion.

  3. It is the responsibility of the owner to provide all essential equipment for the rain or cold, such as rain jackets, boots, towels, etc.    

6. Liability:

   a. Waiver: Riverside Rovers will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your dog(s) during our services. However, we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during walks or other services.

   b. Emergency Care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact you or your designated emergency contact. If unable to do so, we reserve the right to seek veterinary care at your expense.

   c. Property Damage: Riverside Rovers is not responsible for any damage to property caused by your dog(s) during our services.

7. Client Responsibilities:

   a. Information: Clients must provide accurate and up-to-date information about their dog(s) including medical history, behavioral issues, and emergency contacts.

   b. Access: Clients must provide necessary access to their home or designated meeting place for pick-up and drop-off. 

   c. Communication: Clients must communicate any changes to scheduled services or special instructions in a timely manner.

8. Privacy Policy: Riverside Rovers respects your privacy and will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

9. Intellectual Property: All content included in our services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Riverside Rovers and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use of any such content is prohibited.

10. Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New York City. Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York City.

11. Changes to Terms: Riverside Rovers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or other notification to clients.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
